Generally, though, those sorts of tricks frustrate me and make me stop reading. There's no tension when you already know what's going to happen.
Once, I read a ms that had a climactic explosion shown from all the POVs in the story. All 16 of them. Sure, most of the "scenes" were two lines -- "and he turned and saw the explosion!" -- but seriously, this isn't a movie. Regrounding in a character's head for two sentences of payoff... Well, it's hard to do, and even if someone can, it's generally not worth it.
