And We Have Questions!
So there will be answers.

1. Are you happy?

Umm gosh. No and yes. This is one of those essay questions -- there are a lot of things about my life and the world that I'm not happy with, that I would change if I could. But I also spend a bunch of time being happy. Not content. Not comfortable. Happy. The other day I went to Leeds, I didn't manage to get any of the things I went there for, but did get really tired, and Leeds was really depressing (familiar shops shut, lots of cheap and tacky gift places, generally not looking bright and cheerful) -- all bad -- but on the way home we spotted a red kite, one of the ones they've reintroduced at Harewood. Hard to be sad watching a red kite soar. Life is good. And then there are friends -- you worry when they've got troubles, you fret because of them, but good news? Nothing like feeling you're going to crack your lip because your smile is that broad and that persistent. But it wouldn't feel as special if you smiled like that all the time.

Happy is something I find, something I look for, something I'm given... and for me it's specific, not so much something that is or isn't, that I am or am not.

Or to cut a long answer short with an example ::grins:: am I happy with Middlemost? No, but there are a bunch of bits that make me smile.

2. What part of the emu are you?

Eyelashes. Being the legs or feet would be great. Being the wings would maybe be more accurate. But if I go for ambition and accuracy and don't get to looking from a historical perspective -- I flatter myself that I'm the eyelashes.

3 If you had to do it all over again (you choose what the "it" is), do you think you would do it any differently?

Yes. But it probably wouldn't have made a lot of difference. And where it would have, it might not have been for the better. A lot of the most influential choices in my life weren't mine to make, some of the others weren't strictly choices because I couldn't have done anything but what I did -- and while over others I can blame myself for having/not having said this or being too insistent/timid or spending too much/too little time or whatever, the truth is I don't know and will never know if my life could have been different through any choice of mine -- or even if I haven't achieved the best I could with what choices I had. I think that's true of a lot of people BTW, not just me.

Question here!

What would your idea of a perfect vacation be?

What are some of your favorite things to do?(other than hang us with us, of course :D)

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
